Swedish~

Indulge in this relaxing modality which includes a series of flowing, gliding, and kneading strokes as well as gentle, passive stretching. This is a fantastic choice for alleviating stress, improving circulation, improving quality of sleep, and supporting an over all sense of well being.

Myofascial Therapy~

This assessment based, area specific modality targets pain, postural, and range of motion issues. While many factors including injury, scar tissue, over or under use of muscles can contribute to these issues, Myofascial Therapy will help you regain control of your body's dynamic abilities and aide in self healing and balance.

Shiatsu~

Working with the Meridians, or energy pathways of the body, this modality based on Traditional Chinese Medicine helps restore balance to the body. Shiatsu combines a series of acupressure points, compression, stretching, and passive range of motion. This work is done with the client fully clothed, and on a padded mat. A table may be used as an adaptation for clients with mobility challenges. In addition to balance, increase in range of motion, and a decrease in pain and tension, this work is said to be both relaxing and invigorating.

Deep Tissue~

This work begins with a basic warming technique, similar to the Swedish massage. Once the muscle tissue is warmed, the angle depth, and speed of the work is adjusted to work through layers of tissue accessing deep areas of contracted tissue. This modality will set in motion the release of chronic holding patterns, and help with postural realignment and a significant decrease in pain and tension.

Integration~

My most popular session, this work is something of a fusion, featuring both Eastern and Western techniques. Perhaps you are not feeling ready to commit an entire session to one modality. Maybe you would like to enjoy the ranges of motion featured in Shiatsu, while also saving a bit of time for some Deep Tissue focus on your shoulders. You have the option to soothe away leg tension with Swedish technique, while incorporating some balancing and invigorating acupressure. An assessment will be be done to determine the techniques and their application for each session.

Foot/Hand Reflexology~

The incredible and ancient practice of reflexology facilitates relaxation, stimulates balance and energy flow, and can release toxins. The application of technique used in foot Reflexology correlates to the organs in our body and can often be safely done when working with other areas of the body is not indicated. This modality is also a great choice for clients who would like to enjoy the benefits of massage with the ease of remaining fully clothed, as well as being favorable to a time sensitive schedule.

Hot Stone Integration~

A delightful add on to any session. Heated stones are used on specific trouble areas for the purpose of easing away stubborn bits of tension. Please note that this is not a session in and of itself, and the stones are not used for the entirety of the session. Application is included within the time of the session booked.
